I just got this joke in the mail:
A biker was riding along a California beach when suddenly he hears a booming voice from the sky. The Lord said, "Because you have tried to be faithful to me in all ways, I will grant you one wish."
The biker pulled over and said, "Build a bridge to Hawaii so I can ride over anytime I want."
The Lord said, "Your request is materialistic. Think of the enormous challenges for that kind of undertaking. The supports required toreach the bottom of the Pacific! The concrete and steel it would take! It will nearly exhaust several natural resources. I can do it,but it is hard for me to justify your desire for worldly things. Take a little more time and think of something that would honour and glorify me."
The biker thought about it for a long time. Finally he said, "Lord, I wish that I could understand my wife. I want to know how she feels inside, what she's thinking when she gives me the silent treatment, why she cries, what she means when she says nothing is wrong, and how I can make a woman truly happy."
The Lord replied, "You want two lanes or four on that bridge?"
Really, I get tired of these kind of jokes. It simply perpetuates the myth that women are hard to understand and please, and that men are mystified by them.
The man could understand his wife if he put in the effort to understand her. Want to know what she feels inside? Try asking her. She will be touched that you care enough to ask. Then, listen to what she has to say. Asking is easy, listening is tougher, and accepting/understanding what she's saying is the toughest because if you want the easy way out (like the bridge to Hawaii) and cannot think beyond your own needs all the time, you cannot access anything good and long lasting in life.

To start with, they make the assumption that God is a man, which maybe incorrect, when you read about it in Da Vinci Code etc. Which is why, they have all this typical type Bull that floats around. I think that a lot of men wouldn't even fall under this category, actually. It's a silly generalisation for the sake of a joke to entertain those kind of men, is all.
Hmm... I don't know about how many men would fall under this category, but from my observation most of them will indeed enjoy the joke. I know it's just a joke, and can let it alone at that, but it's just that perpetuating it is not good, I feel.
I think it is only a joke which should be read and forgotten. Yes, more men than women might enjoy the joke but we shouldn't forget that men and women are wired differently - science has enough proof of that.
Jokes are creative expressions that thrive on exaggerations and if we ban this one, we will have to ban almost every joke, including sardarji jokes.
